Arche Noah /Noahs Ark
Bis zum September 2012 legt die Arche Noah im Rheinauhafen unmittelbar vor dem Schokoladenmuseum an. Die 70 Meter lange, 13 Meter hohe und 10 Meter breite Nachbildung der biblischen Arche wurde von dem Niederländer Aad Peters zu einem schwimmenden Erlebnispark umgebaut.

Ohne einen ortskundigen Führer dürfte es nahezu unmöglich sein, den Stecken am Rudolfplatz überhaupt zu finden: Der Eingang ist dunkel und mit Aufklebern und Kritzeleien übersät. Dieses schöne Underground-Feeling setzt sich auch im Innern des Steckens (sogar bis auf die mit Graffitis verschönerten Toiletten) fort. Die Couchecken und Sitzgelegenheiten am Anfang und Ende der langgezogenen Bar sind vor allem zu später Stunde immer besetzt. Da es neben Cocktails auch billiges Bier an der Theke gibt, landen hier viele Partygänger zum Vorglühen oder Absacken.
Wechselnde DJ´s liefern Funk & Soulsounds für ein alternatives, lockeres Publikum. Zu einem besonderen musikalischen Highlight und Publikumsliebling sind die Jazz-Konzerte geworden, die hier wöchentlich in kleiner, intimer Runde geboten werden.
Without a local guide, it would be nearly impossible to find Stecken on Rudolfplatz ever: The entrance is dark and covered with stickers and doodles. This beautiful underground feeling continues in the interior (even down to the toilets embellished with graffiti) . The couches and chairs at the beginning and end of the elongated bar are especially busy late at night. Alternating DJs provide funk and soul sounds for an alternative, casual audience. Often with live Jazz/Soul concerts on Thursdays. |
